The Fragrance you could smell with your imagination

How do you launch a fragrance no one can smell yet? We turned that challenge into a cultural invitation for Egeo Mushroom, Boticário’s boldest and most unconventional scent.
Tapping into the massive online conversation around "shifting" (a viral Gen Z practice with billions of mentions on Discord and TikTok, where imagination is used to simulate alternate realities and physical sensations), we created a launch experience that bypassed physical testers and activated the mind instead.
At the campaign's core was a guided video journey developed with neuroscientists, crafted to transport viewers through the fragrance’s olfactive pyramid using sound, rhythm, visual metaphors, and storytelling. Delivered via NFC-enabled mystery boxes, this sensorial content acted as a mental “preview” of the scent, stimulating emotional and physical responses without releasing a drop of perfume.
We didn’t reveal the soon-to-be-launched product. We co-created the anticipation.
Fans speculated, imagined, and bonded over a scent they hadn’t smelled yet. Influencers shared their interpretations. And a community formed around curiosity and sensory projection.
